You got the interview for that big job that you applied for, congratulations! Now you have to make sure that you present yourself in just as good of a light as the resume you sent in made you look. You are going to have to make sure that you stand out from every other person who got the interview. Of course you are going to practice answering the questions that you think they will ask you. You are going to make sure that your answers are to the point and concise, and that they answer the questions in a way that makes you look intelligent and competent. You are going to want to show enthusiasm for the job, and illustrate to the interviewer that you really want this. You are going to make them feel like you would really enjoy working at this company, and would fit in well with the culture. But here is a question, should you dress up and wear a suit even if the people working in the office do not have to wear a suit?
This question has been pondered by people for many years, ever since the non-formal workplace took hold. Employers realize that all employees do not have to dress up to get their job done, and no longer require them to do so. But this is an interview, and what you are going to be dealing with is if the interviewer believes that it is a sign of respect for you to dress up. If they do feel that way, then the person who dresses in a suit will show them that they want the job more than someone who does not.
